Overview:

Marksman Security Corporation is now seeking a Security Trainer!

The Security Trainer will oversee security personnel, ensuring the officers properly are trained and motivated. The Security Trainer will also work closely with the client contact to achieve goals and objectives set forth by Marksman Security and the association.

$65,000 p/yr

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in corrections, law enforcement, military security, account management

armed or unarmed guard/officer experience and or other related fields.

Requires 50% travel

Qualifications:

The purpose of this position is to support accounts ensuring security teams are provided proper training and instruction to perform the duties of their post that are essential to the mission of the security operation. This position will also ensure all training compliance standards are tracked and maintained throughout the account. This position requires 50% travel.

Tasks:

● Must have working knowledge of all post assignments within the facility

● Stay abreast of all operational changes and ensure the officers, supervisors, and

managers receive proper training to perform the expectations

● Develop training plan for standardization across all regions

● Create, revise, and conduct new hire site orientation

● Working knowledge of TrackTik field operations

● Weekly TrackTik Audit and Reporting

● Review SOP and post orders and work with site managers to recommend changes

● Submit weekly OJT compliance report

● Submit monthly and quarterly review of training progress

● Monthly DFW site visit training reporting

● Monthly East and West Coast site visit reporting

● Ensure sites have completed Marksman LMS required courses

● Assign Marksman LMS courses as needed

● Create post specific and/or task specific quizzes and tests to test officer knowledge

● Conduct regular surveys to gauge program effectiveness

● Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

● Prior experience as a trainer or a similar position

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

● Must be able to multitask

● Ability to identify gaps in skills

● Knowledge of various teaching methods and approaches

● Excellent organizational skills

● Must be willing to travel

● Superb written and verbal communication skills

● Strong time-management and multitasking abilities

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, and aptitude for

learning new software and systems

● Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information

PREFERRED SKILLS

● A degree in education or training preferred

● Experience in developing and presenting slide presentations and reports

● Experience in developing internal processes and filing systems

Requirements:

Valid state licensing, if applicable

21 years of age and High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email.

Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor and appearance.

Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications while performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands.

Familiarity with report writing

Excellent surveillance and observation skills

Possess above average written and verbal communication skills.

Possess strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public.

Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
