Job Description
Malace HR is seeking an experienced mobile Master Licensed Electrician in the Manhattan area. The role will be working 1st shift hours and pays $48.38 per hour. The Electrician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Assists in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
Qualifications
Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc
Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead
Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs
Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
Electrician Journeyman's and/or State License is required
High school diploma or state equivalent required
A minimum of 4 years of electrical trade school or training equivalent, with 5+ years of electrical work experience
Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes
Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
Good verbal and written communications skills are required
Skilled and physically able to operate hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle
Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application
Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology
Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities
Responsibilities
Maintains, installs, and troubleshoots all aspects of electrical infrastructure
Operates, inspects, and maintains all electrical equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy
Assures that equipment is being maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs and keeping records of past operating experiences
Demonstrate knowledge of electrical / instrumentation / control building equipment and systems required to operate and maintain electrical equipment and systems
Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical apparatus, control equipment and wiring used in industrial light and power distribution systems including equipment such as generating equipment, panels, automatic switches, variable frequency drives, complex circuit breaking units, transformer units, and alarms
Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors, and other equipment
Diagnoses, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade and install all electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings
Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner
Safely use a large variety of hand and shop power tools
Complete all documentation by required deadlines
Document accurately and clearly in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in real time
Perform all incidental /associated work required to complete the job assignment
Work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate with manager
Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient, and clean operating condition
Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations
Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required
