YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties is looking to hire an Associate Director of Aquatics!

Associate Director of Aquatics Salary: $38,500 - $42,000

Associate Director of Aquatics Responsibilities:

Serves as leader for lifeguard supervision and aquatic safety, including scheduling of guards and emergency coverage as needed

In support of the Sr. Director, serve as a point of contact for private/semi-private swimming lessons

In collaboration with the Sr. Director of Aquatics, promotes fair pool usage and a positive, nurturing atmosphere for all types of pool users (swim team, open swim, swim lessons, water aerobics, etc.)

Maintains a minimum of 25- 30 hours of direct service each week

Ensures the aquatic environments are safe; decks are clean and free of clutter, water clarity is clear and chemically safe. maintain accurate pool chemical test records and respond to results in accordance with procedures

Ensures pool rules are enforced professionally and all locker rooms are monitored by aquatics staff

Supports Sr. Director with lifeguards recruitment, training and development with ongoing feedback and support

Associate Director will support the Sr. Director in deck supervision, teaching swim lessons (group and/or private), administrative tasks, etc

Associate Director of Aquatics Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old

1-3 years of experience in pool management/administration preferred.

1-3 years of swim lesson experience preferred.

American Red Cross certification for Lifeguarding required.

American Red Cross certification for Lifeguard Instructor required within the first six months of employment.

Must be organized and possess superior communication skills.

Must be available for one weekend day per week
