Licensed Mental Health Consultant

This is for a Head Start and Early Head Start program.

Days of Work: Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. ( can be flexible)

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Knowledge of the Early Head Start/ Head Start program is preferred.

Must be able to comply with all required training.

Must have a mental health license current and active.

Experience in Early Childhood preferred.

Experience with the Pyramid Model and DECA (Devereux assessment).

Experience with observing children's behavior.

Experience in providing professional development/ mentoring to teachers.

Experience with young children ( birth to five years of age) with a variety of special needs.

To be able to teach techniques for stress and relaxation to families and staff.

Be able to connect families to resources in the community that are approved.

Experience in data entry is essential: there is a lot of data entry.

Must have or be willing to obtain the DCF 45-hour requirements and other DCF in-service hours as required.

Be able to pass a level 5 FDLE background check.

This is not a remote position.
