Job Description
Position Purpose (Mission)
Manage the document intake process to retrieve and route all required documentation supporting the scheduling and pre-authorization workflows. This will include communication with respective centers and support staff to maximize obtaining correct patient information. In addition, provide patient account management by merging duplicate patient accounts while maintaining the most current demographic information and ensuring patient chart accuracy.
Responsibilities, Duties, Functions, Tasks (Outcomes)
Process all incoming documents to ensure referrals, clinical information, and authorization information are linked with patient accounts
Communicate with Collator Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager for any triage or concerns related to document intake
Provide accurate input of data and maintain vital patient account information
Verify entered data by reviewing and correcting information
Contribute to all center collators (as needed) to support all intake efficiency
Assist in duplicate patient account merges and verify correct account has the most current patient demographic information
Supports and completes all other job requirements or business needs as instructed by Collator Team Supervisor / Manager and/or Director of Consumer Experience
Demonstrate strong computer skills, typing speed and accuracy, and attention to details
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Prior Experience:
1-2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
Special Qualifications:
High-Level Typing Accuracy: 40 WPM or more and data entry precision
Knowledge and understanding of front desk operations
Knowledge and understanding of scheduling operations
Data processing experience preferred
