Web Content Coordinator (HYBRID)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Web Content Coordinator migrates, organizes, and optimizes content on the website to ensure current and accurate content that is accessible and understandable to users. This role supports efforts to create and publish content that adheres to company communication and brand strategies, while ensuring UX and SEO best practices are in place. The Web Content Coordinator will help administer the website strategy to create a high-quality, engaging experience that drives user engagement and deep understanding of the company brand and offers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate primarily with Marketing, Web Development, and all content contributors to determine immediate projects and long-term goals for content publication and management.

Maintain and update web content using the established CMS templates and/or working with web developers.

Create new pages based on stakeholder needs, while maintaining a consistent branded content approach.

Verify and validate new content prior to deployment.

Work to develop site consistency in both content and experience.

Manage workflow and deadlines on multiple, simultaneous web content efforts, including content publication and larger strategy efforts, and proactively communicate with team members to maintain clear status of projects.

Recommend and implement enhancements to support online marketing and search engine optimization, UI/UX improvements, and best practices for web publishing formatting, editing, in an enterprise web content management system.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience at an organization and/or specific training in web, SEO, digital publishing, or content management.

Experience:

1-5 years related experience in web content management, digital marketing, or digital publishing.

Experience working with multiple complex web projects simultaneously with the ability to manage and maintain a web content publishing schedule.

Content writing experience is preferred but not required.

Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge of CMS functionality experience with Optimizely is a plus.

Expert understanding of web publishing technology, including site search, taxonomy, metadata, structured content, and multimedia

Knowledge of W3C s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

Understanding of the basic tenets of responsive design with regard to web content

Strong knowledge of SEO, keyword research, domain authority, page rankings, and usability

Understanding of information architecture, web usability, audience segmentation/journeys, web governance, and best practices for writing for the web

Ability to learn and improve the use of our enterprise web content management system.

Working knowledge of graphic design manipulation skills

Strong editing and proofreading skills

Excellent interpersonal communication written and oral

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills: team player who can take initiative to follow through.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Normal demands associated with an office environment on standard office equipment. Ability to work on a computer for long periods.

Office-based position requiring a minimum of 2 days in the office each week; allowing you to work from home the other 3 days.

Contract-to-Direct

Pay: $22.00/hour- $32.00/hour (Depending upon experience)

Schedule: Mon-Thurs (8am -5pm), Fri (8am to 4pm).

Hybrid- In-office 2 days/week and can work remotely the other days.
