Job Description

Nature of Work:

The Municipal Engineer works within the Engineering Department and assists with engineering duties related to maintenance of the City’s roadway network. These are tasks including but not limited to:

Design and drafting of maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction projects

Construction observation of street, utility, and federal aid construction projects

Survey and data collection of city infrastructure assets

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field and two years of experience in construction or engineering related to public works projects; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid registration as an Engineer Intern.

Possession of a valid North Dakota Driver License.

Compensation and Benefits

The assigned salary range for the position of Project Civil Engineer I under the 2024 City of Minot Pay Plan is Grade 68, which is an annual salary range of $67,990- $100,931.

This is a full time, salaried, FLSA Exempt Position
