Trilogy® at Lake Frederick: Shenandoah Lodge & Athletic Club

The "Shenandoah Club" campus includes the Lodge, Athletic Club, and Shoreline Outfitter, and encompasses more than 36,000 square feet of indoor space along with an expansive lakeside veranda and patio beneath. The restaurant, Region’s 117, and the Shenandoah Events Center are open to the public and available for dining reservations and private bookings.

Pay: $16 per hour

Benefits:

New hourly full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.

Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.

Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.

Part-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state guidelines.

All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Housekeeper maintains a clean and sanitary environment for the Club facilities. This position reports to the Facility Maintenance Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect and clean all Club buildings on a daily schedule, according to BlueStar standards and procedures as assigned.

Clean all facilities as assigned, including floors, carpets, walls, ledges, pictures, mirrors, furniture, fixtures and equipment; empty garbage containers.

Assist Maintenance Department in completing duties as assigned.

Maintain an infection-free facility by thorough washing, cleaning, and replacing equipment and/or furnishings.

Report repairs or the need for replacements to the facility maintenance manager; follow up to assure repair meets facility standards.

Work in a safe manner and use all personal protective equipment (safety gear) assigned; report unsafe conditions or accidents to a supervisor.

Comply with all rules and regulations (including OSHA, EPA, and state Health Department) for using cleaning products and chemicals, as provided by the Facility Manager.

Assist with set up and tear down for Club events.

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Six months’ experience in housekeeping or hospitality.

Current First Aid or other safety certifications, as required by the Club.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members about job tasks and responsibilities.

Desire to contribute to a productive work environment by maintaining a positive attitude with team members and the public.

Must demonstrate initiative, with an ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.

Must have good time management, organizational, and follow-up skills.

Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness is expected.

Must be able to pay attention to multiple details and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.

This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, with limited travel required.

Valid driver’s license may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position operates in both an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to weather conditions, and occasionally native wildlife, when outdoors on the facility grounds. Outdoor environments may require walking on cement while pushing a cart or carrying items. There may be exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud, depending on the equipment or machines used.

The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see and hear, speak clearly and understand the speech of another person. This position is very active and requires standing, bending, and walking for most of a work shift; sitting and driving, using hands to fingers, touching and holding, and reaching with hands and arms. The position requires the ability to lift and/or push or pull items weighing up to 25-30 pounds. Employees are required to wear all assigned personal protective equipment.
