The Commissary Kitchen Assistant Cook & Packager is a key member of the kitchen production team. We operate almost exclusively during daytime weekday hours, with a rotating Sunday. You will be responsible for assisting in many aspects of our commissary kitchen, primarily in the preparation of foods for production and packaging of completed products for retail sale. This position provides a large opportunity and potential to learn and grow within the kitchen and move up to Commissary Cook or to a Team Leader position.

Responsibilities

Portioning and packaging products produced in the commissary kitchen for retail sale.

Maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout the day and in between tasks.

Always working with food safety and sanitization in mind.

Demonstrate knowledge of and employ proper procedures for allergen control (training provided)

Ensuring product is cooled within USDA/FDA guidelines and recorded on appropriate logs (training provided)

Assisting in daily cleaning tasks at the end of shift and washing all tools/equipment used during production.

Assisting in any other tasks that may arise from the Commissary Kitchen Manager or Commissary Kitchen Team Leaders

Requirements

At least one year experience as a Cook

Have a reliable form of transportation to ensure punctuality for every shift.

Maintain a steady pace with attention to detail.

Works well in a team and independently.

Able to lift 50+ pounds.

Able to stand for long periods.

Food Handler card/certificate

Work Schedule

Monday 6am-2pm, Tuesday-Friday 7am-3pm, rotating Sundays 6pm-2pm

Full time (benefit eligible) or part time position available

Monday 6am-2pm

Tuesday - Friday 7am-3pm

Rotating Sundays 6am-2pm
