Receivables Manager

The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees the entire process of invoicing and collecting payments from the company’s plant and material customers. Their responsibilities include managing invoices, handling missed payments, and supervising Accounts Receivable Coordinator. Here are the key duties and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Import daily plant and material sales created in APEX plant ticketing software into the general ledger, creating customer invoices

Timely Collection: Ensuring timely collection of payments from customers.

Credit Checks: Conducting credit checks on clients and partnering with Plant management team to determine customer credit limits.

Negotiation: Negotiating with clients in cases of non-payment.

Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports.

Record Keeping: Organizing records of invoices, bills, and deposits.

Compliance: Ensuring high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with the law which includes issuing NTOs and liens.

Team Support: Supporting Accounts Receivable Coordinator and training new team members.

Stay Updated: Keeping up-to-date with industry and legislative changes.

Cash Receipts: Work with Controller to reconcile and record cash receipts

Bank Deposits: Prepare and process daily bank deposits

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: 3-5 years proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or Supervisor.

Software: Hands-on experience with Viewpoint and APEX a plus

Lien Laws: Knowledge and experience preparing lien paperwork as described in Florida Statute(s) 713 and 255

Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills to create and present detailed reports.

Numerical Accuracy: Ability to accurately process numerical data.

Team Management: Skills in managing other team members

Problem-Solving: A problem-solving attitude.

Confidentiality: Understanding the importance of confidentiality.

Education: Degree in accounting or finance preferred, but not required
