Host/Hostess

Jackie's Place in San Jose, CA is looking for one host/hostess to join our team.

We are located on 840 N 1 St St. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged.

Qualifications

Friendly and outgoing personality

Experience working a hospitality role

leadership role experience

Ability to listen and communicate effectively

Strong organizational and motivational skills

Responsibilities

Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate

Manage the wait list: record guest names and number in party, and provide estimated waiting time

Answering phone

Assisting bussers with clearing and setting tables (when needed)

Transports and carries objects (such as high-chair) up to 15 pounds

Taking, entering and packing to go orders

Benefits

Additional compensation with Tips as a Host

$18.00 per hour - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
