Job Summary:
As a Senior UX Content Strategist, you’ll work on the User Experience team to create useful and usable content for our employees, clients and customers. You’ll be responsible for helping define the voice and tone of our product content and helping to maintain content guidelines and standards which you’ll follow and enforce. You’ll also be responsible for helping define client onboarding and support content standards, guidelines and templates. As a part of the UX team and a member of the Product Operations team, this role sits directly between user experience and overall product experience contributing to processing like product readiness, product launch, and product analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and enforce Content Guidelines, Standards and Templates
Define the content strategy, taxonomy, process and implement an Avenu Knowledge Center
Review content written by others to ensure it meets content guidelines and standards
Retrieve, collect, voice and edit release notes for internal and customer communication.
Create and maintain content for our product interfaces and onboarding and support experiences
Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Owners, Engineering, and Business Analysts on a daily basis.
Partner with Customer Support, Customer Success and Delivery teams to ensure clarity of information to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Participate in user research, user experience and measure product and feature adoption through analysis.
Participate and at times lead, as a key member of product operations, the launch, readiness and product health meetings and workshops.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
5+ years experience in Content Strategy, UX Writing, Technical Writing or Instructional Design
Experience creating information architecture for navigation and help documentation
Experience in SaaS software environments and product-led growth environments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Self-starter able to work well in a team or independently
Excellent team player with strong leadership and influencing skills
Experience or exposure to researching methodologies like usability testing and user interviews
Experience with Design Thinking methodologies, Personas and Journey Mapping
Background in working on User Experience teams with Product Designer and User
Researcher type roles
A willingness to speak for the user and an understanding of when to push back on behalf of the user
Comfortable working in a fluid environment but willing to take the initiative to add structure when appropriate
Ability to balance and support multiple efforts and meet deadlines
An understanding of accessibility best practices
Passionate about delivering amazing user experiences
Ability to develop a deep understanding of complex products and their use cases
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual workstation, using telephone and computer
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone
