VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT GRAHAM COUNTY SCHOOLS Position Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative GRANT -Program Coordinator Location Robbinsville Middle / High School Months Employed 10 month position, evaluated annually Type of Position Certified-preferred GRANT-limited time period, up to 3 years Type of Posting External Date of Posting May 7, 2024 Closing Date of Posting May 22,2024 Nature of Work The purpose of this position is to coordinate and implement an evidence-based curriculum with students that empowers them to make informed, educated decisions regarding their health in the area of pregnancy prevention.

Roles and Responsibilities * Maintain files of parental consent forms for program participants.

* Report all required data elements for program activities completed each month to a secure, electronic system (such as EZTPPI) no later than the 10th day of the following month.

* Complete at least 20 hours annually of professional development training aimed at improving program outcomes (includes attendance at TPPI networking meetings). * Complete at least four (4) hours of training (in-person or virtual) that is focused on health equity, health disparities, or social determinants of health to support individual competencies and organizational capacity to promote health equity annually.

* Recruit CAC members, maintain a membership list holding meetings at least quarterly, and submit the meeting minutes electronically by the 10th of the month following the month that the meeting was held.

* Define and maintain cooperative ties with other community institutions in order to meet the needs of program participants.

* Recruit, screen, train, supervise and recognize program volunteers.

* Seek financial support from sources other than the TPPI funds, including sources in the local community.

* Participate in ongoing efforts within the scope of APPP activities that promote the reduction of racial, ethnic, or socio-economic health disparities among program participants and within the community being served.

Activities may involve academic assistance, prevention health services, parent (grandparent) involvement, career awareness, job skills development, individual counseling and cultural enrichment.

* Implement the chosen curriculum intervention with fidelity, and/or monitor other staff who are implementing the curriculum to assure fidelity.

* Comply with all components of the APPP Evaluation Plan, which includes obtaining consent for participation in the evaluation, administering the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Survey and administering Participant Satisfaction Surveys * Any other tasks as required by grant or coordinating school Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Ability to communicate clearly in written and electronic formats; as well as; in-person.

* Ability to use a computer or other electronic devices for the purpose of communication, instruction, data recording, and location of information.

* Ability to collaborate with district staff to identify and solve problems.

* Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion when dealing with students and/or parents and their personal and educational needs.

* Ability to maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive records and maintain all training hours necessary to successfully perform grant tasks.

Education and Experience Requirements Education: Preferred- 4 Year Degree in related Health Education Field Minimum-Completion of an Associate's Degree or 48 college credit hours with a passing cumulative GPA.
