Job Title: FOUNDRY GRILL HOST Department: Foundry Grill Reports To: Foundry Grill Manager & Supervisor Rate of Pay: $13.00/hour + tips Shift: Variable shifts Monday through Sunday Part-Time & Full -Time, Year-Round & Seasonal positions Weekends, holidays and special events are required based on business needs.

SUMMARY Greeting and interacting with guests as part of a service team to create a memorable experience for the guest by exhibiting remarkable personal skills and providing exceptional service in a casual and professional environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

Warmly greets each guest.

Actively engages guests with good communication skills and meeting Forbes standards.

Creates a positive experience for each guest through exceptional guest service skills.

Maintains a sense of arrival at the host stand including the Deli annex area and double doors.

Ensures that the restaurant is clean and organized at all times.

Sets-up, confirms and organizes restaurant reservations.

Informs service team of special requests for reservations.

Records the number of guests served by each service team.

Completes cleaning and closing responsibilities as directed by management.

Exhibits proper phone etiquette.

Assists in the setting of the dining room, clearing and resetting tables, and refilling water glasses as directed by management.

Exhibits job and product knowledge sufficient to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information.

Knowledgeable and compliant of Utah liquor laws.

Support recycling program.

Exhibits self-confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner.

Exhibits a positive attitude when speaking about guests and fellow employees.

Demonstrates good organizational skills.

Self-motivated, yet takes direction and change well.

Supports recycling program.

Share's Sundance's story of land preservation and environmental commitment when the opportunity arises.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED.

Two years related restaurant experience and/or training.

Possesses professional demeanor and good communication skills.

Two years food service experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.

Prior guest relations experience preferred.

Knowledge and experience in wine, liquors and beer preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess or obtain a valid food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
