Role

This role focuses on providing BAU support to investment management teams. The team are responsible for providing daily support to the Portfolio Managers and Trading team, primarily in the Fixed Income space. The partner will participate in the oversight of internal Operations teams’ actions and output to ensure all directives from the Portfolio Managers and Trading team have been correctly executed and accurately reflected in the book of records. They will work to ensure agreed controls are adhered to and that any business impacting issues are resolved in good time. They will also assist the Portfolio Managers and Administrators with operational queries that require follow up or closure

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Assist in the day to day support for Portfolio Managers and Traders

Daily interaction and Oversight of Service Providers, Transfer Agent, Custodian, Administrators and Portfolio Managers

Daily review of positions, market values and cash to validate accuracy.

Work with Operations team to address any identified reconciliation breaks or corporate action discrepancies

Help serve as the liaison between the portfolio management and outsourced teams to resolve any data or processing issues relating to specialist products or asset classes

Work closely with other NTAM partners in support of the business

Assist in the accurate setup of new accounts on relevant systems coordinating with the Business Implementation team

Work as part of a local and global team with members based in London, Hong Kong, Chicago and India

Be responsible for identifying and resolving problems within established procedural guidelines

Be risk averse by identifying process or business risks and escalate to line manager

Key Skills

Demonstrate an understanding of asset management terminology and familiarity with investments instruments

Demonstrate an understanding of Operations functions and responsibilities

Excellent PC literacy required with strong knowledge of MS applications

Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent time management and organization skills are essential

Ability to prioritize multiple work streams and meet tight deadlines

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally

Must have strong attention to detail
