The Wellness Specialist of the Student Life Student Wellness Center coordinates health promotion and education with a focus on financial literacy; Administers Scarlet and Gray Financial group workshops, one-to-one financial coaching service and presentations; Oversees the management and delivery of all financial wellness initiatives; Facilitates outreach presentations to graduate and professional students and faculty and staff on financial literacy and health promotion topics; Collaborates internally and cross-departmental with university and external partners; Assists with creating, planning and implementing campus wide outreach and events with colleagues; Provides financial wellness subject matter expertise to university committees and initiatives; Fosters relationships with students, staff, faculty and professionals across campus to cultivate innovative programs and interventions to meet the diverse holistic wellness needs of the student population; Assists with assessment development of financial wellness education and initiatives; Develops educational content collaboratively through presentations, handouts and various tools; Develops proposals for financial wellness related initiatives; Provides administrative and functional supervision, recruitment, evaluation and mentorship of 20 plus student staff; Creates student staff schedules; Contributes and enhances financial education web pages and online tools; Evening and weekend responsibilities may be required; Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Information:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Allied Medicine, Health Education, Public Health or related field. 4 years of relevant experience.

Desired Qualifications Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Higher Education, Health Education/Promotion, Social Work Education, Counseling, Psychology or related field; 4-8 years of relevant experience. Experience addressing holistic needs of college students; Experience in helping individuals establish beneficial financial habits and behavior change. Excellent communication skills in both one-on-one and group settings; Ability to demonstrate a commitment to health equity and integrate sensitivity when providing services to individuals and groups; Knowledge and experience in areas of personal finance and financial literacy, health promotion and wellness; Demonstrated ability to provide financial education; Experience working with college students, and/or community settings that include young adults; Proficient written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; Ability to perform statistical analysis; High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; As well as administrative duties. Demonstrated knowledge of national research, current issues and recent events facing college students.
