Job Responsibilities
Acts as a a member of the leadership team in KSA, and as a proxy for the KSA General Manager, jointly representing the company to external partners.
Manages relations with the local JV and SHS Shareholder Controlling.
Leads Finance to provide actionable information for decision making and performance monitoring.
Evaluates customer deals and deal monitoring.
Formulates financial strategic plans, annual budgets, and forecasts for the KSA Varian business in meeting short to long-term goals by providing relevant financial and non-financial information.
Controls, budgets, and reports the activities of the Saudi HQ organization of Siemens, with close collaboration of the Siemens Saudi finance colleagues.
Assures compliance to the SHS Directives, signs of the quarterly and annual certification.
Formulates (as per PCMB -Policy Control and Master Book) and implements internal controls.
Supports the local tax and local audit processes in conjunction with the accounting / controlling team.
Provides support for the local VPS (Varian Proton solutions) business.
Support for Regional Finance
Collaborates with the Regional Finance Director to develop and implement regional annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Supports the Regional Finance Director conducting financial analysis and reporting of Orders, Revenue, Backlog, Operating Expenses and Headcounts
Assists in the integration of financial processes and systems across the region, particularly in the countries where there are active Go-to-market changes and integration projects going on.
Serves a liaison between the Regional Finance Director and the EMEA commercial finance team, in standardizing the processes in forecasting and reporting.
Provides support for ad/hoc financial analysis requirements.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred
Local, Arabic speaking and fluent English
In depth knowledge and experience of local accounting and tax rules and regulations
Strong analytical ability: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
Excellent communication skills: able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing.
Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.
A self starter who is able to work on their own initiative, resolve complex financial issues in a demanding environment of deadlines. Creates new ideas to solve problems & drive simplification and better outcomes.
Positive attitude to change and spearheading initiatives.
Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAP & ERP / BI Tools knowledge like QlikView, Cognos etc.
Experience (Years):
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred
10 years of related experience or Master's Degree with 8 years of related experience
Typically experienced in a variety of finance functions
Will be a “senior” individual contributor role, so should be someone experienced sufficiently to fulfill the local FD requirements but also would be willing to do the hands-on work to support the Regional FD
