Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead the progress of the GovInsights platform, including driving new shared services and product capabilities across our SaaS solutions and beyond. With a product family including revenue management and other key areas, you’ll focus on driving analytics features and products to create differentiation and success. As a key leader in product and engineering, you manage product operations, contribute to engineering management and metrics measurement and support our product development lifecycle across new, existing and migrating products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive the GovInsights roadmap with the leader of development for that group.

Coalesce research and drive the product group towards solutions for revenue management, permits and licensing and tax admin in a way that progresses our platform architecture in a way that grows our market and business value, and increases retention across our customer base.

Coach Product Managers through their responsibilities of communication, leadership, strategy and execution.

Ensure PMs receive regular competency feedback and coaching.

Ensure that Product Managers validate and track activities while following our product principles so that our KPI’s are met

Enable product managers to make the most effective decisions when prioritizing research and development so that our upcoming releases contain relevant enhancements for our customers, users, prospects and us.

Join customer and partner visits that spawn ideas for new features

Ensure PMs develop an understanding of the market for their categories, including ensuring that market data is accurate and valid.

Keep relevant pages, communities and teams up to date on our high level roadmap. Evangelize where we are headed.

Prioritize, build and assess business cases for new or existing opportunities across the product organization and to the exec team.

Understand deeply and synthesize the market, competition, and upcoming solutions in the space their team is responsible for.

Review release post announcements to ensure they focus on user problems.

Own driving connections between the groups their PMs drive to ensure a single-application user experience.

Find opportunities where teams need to collaborate with each other and help them make those decisions that are optimal for the company.

Lead Product Operations to solve for easy, efficient, clear and iterative product development.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

7+ years of B2B product management leadership especially in a scaled business with M&A integrations over that time.

10+ years management, leadership and coaching with relevant public speaking and communication experience.

Focus in building analytics solutions and delivering them to slow-to-adopt customer base.

Technical experience in building data warehouse, data schemas and data visualizations

Experience with on-prem and legacy technologies and migrations

Government or civic experience a plus

MBA or business undergraduate work a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Out of the box thinking and ability to manage multiple competing projects at once

Strong organization and project management skills to manage cross functional projects with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines

Knowledge of mathematical/statistical principles related to P&L, pricing, and margin

Ability to work collaboratively in a leadership role with others throughout the organization and without explicit direction.

Effective communicator capable of explaining concepts clearly and credibly across all levels of the organization

Excellent aptitude with advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities

Familiarity with agile methodology, ability to implement enterprise level approaches to agile with Azure DevOps or JIRA, Confluence, Aha and/or Figma experience or other relevant tools.

Able to work with a UX team and introducing UX principles and approaches within a product team.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual workstation, using telephone and computer

Physical Demands:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine

This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office

The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone
