Production Manager - SMT/PCBA & Electro-Mechanical Assembly

Exciting opportunity to join our growing and well-funded team, based in Woburn MA, developing and manufacturing next-generation LED lighting products and enabling LED light engines and component technologies. In this management role, you will bring management experience and commitment as the leader of a multidisciplinary production team of technicians, engineers, and production resources. Your responsibilities will cover all aspects of the production operations, engineering, and quality control.

Description of Role:

Management position with direct reports comprising production engineers, technicians and QC resources.

Responsible for the day-to-day output of the production team to meet production schedule and quality targets.

Consistently meeting KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality, process throughput and resource utilization.

Manage planning and implementation of work orders and assignments for production equipment and team.

Implement LEAN manufacturing systems and processes for workflow.

Manage team to adopt processes for design files, tech drawings, and documentation.

Direct line management of quality, assembly, and manufacturing engineering (DFM) teams.

Input to the training of technicians, manufacturing and engineering employees.

Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

At least 5 years of relevant prior experience in a similar management position.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational and managerial skills.

Working knowledge of software such as Solidworks and/or Altium a strong plus.

Prior experience leading a team in an electrical or electro-mechanical field a strong plus.

Experience of implementing LEAN and Agile manufacturing methodologies.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field is preferred.
