Chef

Our company Ramesh KC Pty Ltd (ABN: ) is seeking two experienced and dedicated Chefs to work in two of our well-established, busy Nepalese restaurants based in Brunswick and Melbourne CBD, with an immediatestart on a full-time basis.

One Chef is required for the Brunswick location, and another Chef for Melbourne CBD. The restaurants each have a capacity of 120 patrons.

Role responsibilities and requirements:

Master various cooking techniques to prepare our signature dishes;

Creating and modifying the menu as per customer feedback;

Ensure compliance of environmental health and council requirements;

Supervise, co-ordinate and train kitchen staff, as well as reviewing staff performance;

Follow and monitor operating procedures, such as receiving and storage of stock, maintenance and cleaning of equipment;

Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are met at all times;

Ordering or managing stock, as well as monitor ingredient quality;

Ensure high quality of food and presentation;

Inspire staff to uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene;

Menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control;

Exceptional organizational and time management skills;

A genuine passion for cooking, with a keen understanding of culinary techniques and trends;

Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations;

Qualifications and experience required:

Experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen (minimum 2 years preferred).

Experience with catering for special events and functions.

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

Food Safety Supervisory Certification (preferred)
