Operate and characterize metrology tools

Train in theory and operation to a level of expert proficiency on a set of semiconductor metrology tools. These tools include defect/contamination inspection, implant dose monitoring and rapid thermal annealing systems.

Work to develop advanced applications for the standard metrology tools to support technical need, customer requirements and marketing collateral.

Conduct statistically sound experiments, generate formal method documentation and technical presentations.

Maintain statistical process control. Recognize out of control points or trends. Use proper procedure for continuous improvement.

Interact with marketing, process and equipment engineers

Work with the marketing and engineering staff to provide materials and services in a timely manner supporting customer demonstration and implanter characterization.

Provide insight and assistance to process variation investigations enabling system specification compliance.

Train engineers on metrology tool techniques and operation.

General tasks

Possess the hardware and software aptitude to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.

Recognize tool issues and perform preventative maintenance steps.

Create and maintain databases that organize process results and centralize access.

Work in class 10 and class 100 cleanroom conditions 80% of the time.

Ensure all metrology lab tasks are completed within health and safety specification compliance.
