Hexcel is currently seeking an R&T Process Engineer – Non-Crimp Fabric for our Leicester, UK location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Design and development of existing & introduction of new technology to the factory in line with safety requirements

Identification and implementation of process improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality

Project management & delivery (Initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, budget & closure)

Supplier liaison (internal and external) to establish requirements and problem solving

To prepare equipment, acceptance, and commissioning specifications for new and modified capital equipment and to validate performance prior to hand-over to Production

Resource allocation to deliver project objectives (internal and external vendors)

Cross functional & multi-site stakeholder management and communication

Preparation and maintenance of plant standard operating instructions and training

Qualifications:

Engineering degree

3-D CAD (SolidWorks), 2-D (AutoCAD)

Process Engineering / Manufacturing experience

Computer literacy. Proficient in the use of statistical software and Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or equivalent

Strong communication & reporting skills to all organisational levels

Preferred - Experience delivering engineering projects

Preferred - Experience of data driven problem solving

Preferred - Process risk and hazard assessment tools (e.g. PFMEA, FMEA, HAZOP)

Preferred - Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen etc)
