Our team is looking for an Azure Strategy Lead who will bring visionary leadership, innovative problem-solving, external insights, and strategic foresight to shape the future of our organization. This role is crucial in establishing a foundation that brings CDW and our partner’s services offerings forward to enable our clients to transform their business and meet their near and long-term objectives.

The Azure Strategy Lead plays a vital role to inform the strategic direction, analyze trends, and address pertinent business challenges in order to support the growth of our Azure services business. They will need to be able to own, influence, inform, and align to strategic initiatives, as well as effectively communicate intricate concepts, industry insights, and strategic plans to various stakeholders, including executives and customers, which will help to shape understanding, garner support, and drive alignment towards our customers organizational requirements.

In this role, you’ll have the option to work remotely or at the CDW Canada office closest to you.

What you’ll do

Enable and manage strategic direction by utilizing market insights, internal and external analysis, align with trend assessments, while planning for relevant and future business challenges.

Conduct scenario planning for market dynamics, gather external insights, and establish strategic positioning through strategic partnerships and cross-functional collaboration.

Leveraging extensive experience, develop and implement go-to-market strategies and business plans that outline target customer segments, products, pricing, and positioning. Plans will include revenue forecast, market share goals, and utilization of CDW marketing vehicles which would include: promotions, campaigns, new product launches

and other activities enhancing relationships with assigned partner(s)

Contribute to the lifecycle of internal services for Azure as a primary stakeholder, from idea selection and prioritization through to service creation, updates, and retirement.

Lead and manage cross-functional collaboration for the development of new services.

Collaborate to create and maintain pricing models and SOW templates used by Services Sales and pre-sales teams.

Build effective relationships between functional departments to ensure business alignment including but not limited to all services teams, marketing, Partner management, and sales.

Educate departments on new product introductions and programs, features and competitive advantages and opportunities to identify and drive sales within their customer base.

Establish business relationships to understand customer challenges so that we can deliver the best solutions for the customer.

Position CDW solutions and services with customers to support sales initiatives and opportunities.

Analyze, guide and support the Azure services business through review of sales and pipeline data to support consistent growth.

Provide scoping and solutioning for technical solutions that can deliver required customer outcomes utilizing the Azure platform.

Keep up to date with Azure Services and maintain technical skills and knowledge, collaborating with the technical community to watch market trends.

What you need to succeed

Must-have

Bachelor’s degree in related field or substantial relevant work experience

Experience in a leadership position with cross-functional management

4+ Years experience in Strategy, Management or Consulting

2+ Years experience implementing Azure solutions with clients

Substantial, significant knowledge of the Azure technology ecosystem, including partners in Canada, and common client use cases across the technology spectrum

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating program management proficiency, and the ability to present to executive-level personnel

Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound business decisions

History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate process and service issues to stakeholders

Nice-to-have

Azure certifications

IT specific certifications (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, PMP)

Experience working in or selling Managed Services

Working knowledge of the Canadian technology services landscape

Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF, CIS, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
