We are seeking an experienced Electrician to work as part of our Maintenance team at our Charlotte, NC facility. As part of your job, you will be tasked with electrical installations, troubleshooting and repairs along with other Maintenance activities as needed, while promoting and practicing safety at all times. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of plant equipment by finding ways to eliminate unscheduled downtime and improve efficiency. You will be responsible for:

Performing electrical work as directed by Manager

Maintaining and repairing all production equipment and the industrial facility.

Implementation of improvements on existing equipment

Disassembling machines and/or installing new parts or equipment and their reassembly

Installing, programing, or repairing automated machinery and equipment

Performing preventative maintenance on equipment

Repairing and maintaining the physical structure of the facility

Utilizing CMMS

Maintaining the work area in 5S conditionQualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

Have a high school diploma or GED

Have 3-4 years related experience and/or training in an industrial maintenance environment

Demonstrate strong electrical skills – motor controls, codes, troubleshooting

Demonstrate mechanical skills

Have excellent written, reading comprehension and math skills, along with the ability to use computer and electronic systems (email, CMMS, HMI’s)

Exhibit the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Demonstrate the ability to read and understand blueprints and/or schematic drawings to determine the proper work procedures and assembly requirements

Have direct knowledge of how to troubleshoot, repair and maintain pumps, mixers, and processing equipment

Work independently and as part of a team

Demonstrate the ability to complete designated tasks on time – Self-starter

Demonstrate excellent time management and problem-solving skills, paying great attention to details

Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Safely work from heights in a boom or scissor lift and on ladders

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

Have a certification from a college or technical school

Experience setting up and operating various tools including predictive maintenance systems

Forklift experience

Welding, Cutting torch and pipe threading experience

Hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge

Previous experience in the ink/chemical processing industries
