Volt is immediately hiring for Quality Inspector in Torrance, CA.

As a Quality Inspector you will:

The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals these skills are important for measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications.

The ability to read, understand, and apply contractual requirements, standards, specifications, governmental regulations, or technical procedures.

Experience with MRP/ERP systems and an understanding of how the system works and basic computer skills, knowledge of MS Office

A solid understanding of Basic GD&T Concepts and a solid ability to interpret Engineering Drawings & Work Instructions

Experience performing 1st article and final inspection per drawing and router instructions.

Experience in populating Inspection reports (FAIR) per AS9102.

Experience in verifying in-process inspection, filling out Inspection Reports and Router operations and verifying parts counts.

Experience and proficiency working with Quality Control Inspection Hand & Bench Tools, e.g.: various micrometers, bore gages, depth gages, dial indicators, drop indicators, height gages, optical comparators, hardness checkers, profilometers, etc.

Experience in segregating non-conforming material and generating NCR Reports.

Experience in performing Final Inspection activities to meet daily shipment schedules.

This is a full time opportunity

Hours are 5:00am - 3:30pm

Monday - Friday, possible Saturday

The ideal candidate will have:

Candidates must have 5+ years aerospace manufacturing metal experience

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
