Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician job opening in southeast Atlanta, Georgia with a pediatric private practice. This position offers the opportunity to earn more with production collections, no hospital duties, and comprehensive benefits.

Job Description:

Seeking a compassionate and skilled Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician to join private practice team and provide specialized care to children with developmental and behavioral concerns. As a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of issues in pediatric patients, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, etc. Duties will include conducting comprehensive developmental assessments, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, providing guidance and support to families, and advocating for the unique needs of each child. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to promoting the optimal development and well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct screenings and assessments to identify developmental delays and behavioral concerns.

Evaluate children with developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and language delays.

Diagnose and manage behavioral disorders such as ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders.

Develop individualized treatment plans and medication management tailored to the specific needs of each child and family.

Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists.

Coordinate care and referrals to speech therapy, occupational therapy, and other specialists and community resources as needed.

Provide counseling, guidance, and support to families regarding developmental and behavioral issues.

Advocate for children with developmental and behavioral concerns within healthcare systems and communities.

Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in developmental-behavioral pediatrics.

Requirements of the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician

Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Board Certified/Eligible

Has Completed a Pediatric Residency Program

Has/Will Complete Fellowship Training in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics
