LHH is seeking a Bilingual Logistics Coordinator for a direct hire position in Downtown Houston, TX.
Position: Bilingual Logistics Coordinator
Type: Direct Hire
Location: HYBRID, Houston, TX 77010 (3 days in office, 2 remote days after 90-day training period.)
Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually + bonus DOE
Work Schedule: M-F, 8 AM-5 PM (OT necessary)
Bilingual/Spanish is preferred
Degree is not required!
2-5 years of previous logistic coordinator operations (Trucks/Tank/ Power Liquids – Chemical Additives) experience
MUST have Domestic, Import and Export Logistics experience
Need Excel and SAP
Effective communication skills to interact with counterparts internally and externally.
The Logistics Coordinator supports the department in achieving its business objectives and the profitability of the accounts and/or products assigned. Ensures that products sold by the department and related documentation flow to customers in a timely manner. The scope of this position includes but is not limited to, functions such as processing orders, arranging shipments/deliveries for domestic transactions, imports and or exports, preparing/issuing shipping documents(data entry/inputs), tracking shipments, handling internal/external queries or complaints from counterparties, providing customer service, monitoring payment status, supporting payment collection, solving problems with customers and suppliers, and covering the desk of other Logistics Coordinators when they are absent due to sick/medical leave, personal leave, vacation.
Customer Service and Sales Support
Interact with customers and vendors to answer their questions and assist them with their needs before, during, and after all business transactions. Support and coordinate sales-related activities to help achieve annual quotas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Proactive, accurate, and timely communication through email and/or phone calls to receive/request, register, and process orders and or inquiries.
• Organize and coordinate shipments (import/export/domestic) by a variety of shipping methods (sea, air, ground transportation)
• Provide order acknowledgments, confirmations, schedules, inquiries, etc.
• Obtain freight quotes to determine the most cost-effective and price competitive shipping method.
• Provides pricing, availability, and schedule information within established guidelines.
• Suggest additional and/or alternative logistics services to meet customers’ needs.
• Prepare shipping documents for import/export/domestic shipments with accuracy, and track deliveries solving problems that may arise during the process.
• Confirm orders based on approved credit lines and established guidelines.
• Researches and obtains resolution of a variety of customer complaints and issues.
• Handle damaged goods inquiries and process insurance claims promptly
• Input various accounting entries such as Contract of Purchase (COP), Contract of Sales (COS), Invoice, Credit Note, Debit Note, warehouse invoices, disbursements, and adjustments, among others related to business transactions.
• Work with outside companies (forwarders, trucking companies, etc.) to secure satisfactory services to move cargo. • Keep logs and records for all back-to-back transactions.

Key Qualifications:
• Solid knowledge on logistics (domestic, import, and exports), delivery terms, and Customer Service.
• Basic Accounting knowledge
• Proficiency in a variety of computer applications: SAP ERP/ECC operation experience or any other accounting system, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Good communication skills
• Available to work overtime as needed by the company.
Experience:
At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in Domestic, Import, and Export Logistics.
International Logistics experience is a plus.
Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
Languages: English [Required], Spanish [Preferred]
Certifications: Hazmat Certification [Preferred]
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
