CVP seeks an experienced Quantitative Data Analyst to join our growing Health Research and Technology team.

As a Data Analyst, you will support a portfolio of projects across HHS and the VA supporting a dynamic set of customers driven to improve behavioral health outcomes on a national and local scale. Imagine the impact you will make as you analyze data from health/public health data sources, such as behavioral health and grantee surveys, substance use and mental health-related mortality and morbidity data, and social determinants of health.

Responsibilities

Apply quantitative methods to identify distribution, patterns, and trends within the data and partner with team members to disseminate your results to diverse stakeholder audiences.

Use statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS Studio) to assist in data cleaning and formatting and conduct analyses independently and/or as requested/directed by the lead analysts/evaluators.

Support the development of data dashboards that include visualizations (e.g., bar charts, trend graphs, and maps) for dissemination to stakeholders.

Summarize your data analyses methodology, findings, and limitations in user-friendly formats (e.g., PowerPoint, factsheets, data briefs) and support the development of overall quantitative data analyses Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Support the creation of white papers, conference abstracts, and manuscripts to be included in conferences, workshops, and peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications

Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance.

Master’s degree with 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field, such as social sciences, public policy, or statistics.

Experience in conducting research and data analysis using quantitative methods to identify distribution, patterns, trends, and correlation/causality within the data.

Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, STATA, SAS, R, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data sets.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting analytical findings to diverse audiences.

Experience summarizing analytical findings into detailed reports, data briefs, and factsheets.

Desired Skills

Experience with analyzing behavioral health and/or opioid-related datasets.

Additional knowledge of qualitative data analysis techniques and mixed methods.
