Full Stack Developer - PHP with Laravel Remote

As a member of the Ryan Platform Engineering Team, you will be a critical contributor to an ambitious strategic initiative with the goal of re-envisioning a broad suite of enterprise-level applications. Aiming to create simple and compelling user experiences, the Full Stack Developer will be required to draw on a depth of design and engineering experience in building complex web applications and systems. Best-equipped candidates will be highly proficient in PHP, Laravel, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, web services, and testing practices. Candidates will be required to interface directly with product management, other business groups, customers, and key stakeholders demanding exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align with Ryan’s Key Results

People:

Interface with other departments within the company on system enhancements and modifications, problem resolution, and special requests.

Maintain a strong focus on customer service to all clients and assist with mentoring and training junior members.

Participate in cross-training activities as required.

Client:

Code, test and debug application systems while maintaining source code control system and application software versioning.

Evaluate business processes, make recommendations, and implement system design enhancements/changes.

Implement systems and enhancements following current production change control guidelines and standards.

Value:

Develop user experiences using the latest best-of-breed languages and frameworks in the PHP ecosystem.

Design and develop application architectures drawing from a deep understanding of languages, algorithms, and design patterns.

Experience building enterprise-quality market-facing products with professional user interfaces.

Develop task plans and development schedules for achieving project objectives and deliverables.

Develop and maintain software applications according to specifications.

Document and define requirements for development and enhancement projects, and processes and procedures in the Applications Development area.

Work with external vendors when necessary.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent related work experience. Three or more years of practical application development experience in a programmer or analyst capacity.

Frameworks: Laravel
