The HR Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business objectives. The HR Director will be a key player in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and supporting the company's talent management and development efforts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, collaborating with department heads to understand staffing needs.

Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work culture by promoting open communication; serve as liaison for employee concerns. Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale, productivity and retention.

Compensation and Benefits: Process bi-weekly payroll and year end reporting. Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with legal requirements. Conduct salary surveys to stay informed about market trends and make recommendations for adjustments as needed. Administer employee benefits programs and coordinate with external vendors as necessary.

Policy and Compliance: Maintain/audit employee records, ensure ongoing compliance with funding, licensure or programmatic compliance. Draft and update HR policies, procedures and handbook. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and industry regulations.

Training and Development: Administer onboarding programs for new hires to facilitate their integration into the organization. Collaborate with department heads to create career development plans. Maintain employee training records, conduct annual training as required. Identify skills gaps and implement development opportunities. Create and implement performance appraisal systems.

Organizational Development: Lead, plan and execute organization design and Change Management. Implement Culture programs / Engagement Programs Develop diversity, engagement, and inclusion programs.

HR Metrics and Reporting: Compile and analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team. Prepare regular reports on HR performance indicators.

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.

7+ years of progressive HR experience, with 3 years in a managerial role.

Proficient in HRIS and other relevant software applications; Knowledge of Paylocity a plus.

In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

High sense of urgency to deliver.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR strategy.

High integrity and ability to maintain confidential information and build trusting relationships.
