Practice Highlights / Qualifications:
Must be board eligible or board certified in General Surgery
Strong preference for a surgeon who has completed a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship
Level 1 Trauma designation by the state and Level 2 Trauma designation by ACS
Cover both Trauma Surgery and Acute Care Surgery
Multiple Trauma bays in the ED as well as dedicated Trauma OR's

The facility you will cover is a comprehensive medical and surgical facility offering a wide range of services including orthopedics, joint care, emergency care, behavioral health, and cardiovascular care. It is a 466-bed Level 1 Trauma Center that was established in 1972. The hospital went through a recent renovation, which included expanding their ED and adding 4 additional Trauma bays. It also boasts a 32-bed Medical Surgical Trauma ICU along with a 10-bed Trauma Stepdown Unit.
