Job Details

Responsibilities:

Overseeing the daily activities of the accounting department, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and completed within the set deadlines.

Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.

Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal audits.

Preparing financial statements and reports, and presenting them to senior management and stakeholders.

Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning processes.

Training and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, implementing changes as necessary.

Familiarity or past experience with cost/inventory accounting.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role within the manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.

Extensive experience with month-end close processes.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.
