Machine Operator - Production Worker - Night Shift

This is a full-time job with benefits for a night shift position. *** Monday-Friday. 9p - till finish

The MACHINE OPERATOR / PRODUCTION WORKER - works in the processing plant, assisting machine operators with machine operation, packing replenishment, monitoring, etc..

-Follow quality inspection standards and remove food products not meeting quality standards and follow company sanitation procedures.

-Assist plant personnel with general house cleaning throughout the shift in accordance with the company GMP’s. Regular housekeeping duties to include cleaning and restocking employee areas and plant sanitations of sinks, emptying plant trash, floor cleaning, cleaning drains. Cleaning of floors and exterior of all equipment.

-Ensure paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, accurate format and ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.

-Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.

-Excellence attendance and punctuality.

-Must be physically able to lift up to 75lbs on occasion.

-Work on the empty case dock moving stacks of empty cases as needed.

-May work in a cold environment which averages 35 degrees Fahrenheit. May work outdoors.

-Requires the ability to speak and understand English.

-Heavy labor experience in a similar environment is preferred.

Hollandia Dairy delivers fresh milk and by-products to all of San Diego County, Orange County, and portions of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

The Hollandia Dairy story began in 1949 when Mr. and Mrs. Arie de Jong and their 10 children settled in Poway. They came from Holland where Mr. de Jong had been in the dairy business. Their worldly possessions were few and included a total of $32.00 cash. From this humble beginning, Hollandia Dairy was to get its start.

One year later, the family bought a dairy on the corner of Felicita and Highway 395 (now Centre City Parkway) in Escondido. Sales at the "Cash & Carry" were about $8.00 per day.

The greatest strength of Hollandia Dairy was its family unity. Everyone worked for the growth and development of the dairy. The same family unity continues to this day, adding strength and direction to the dairy. As a result, Hollandia Dairy remains today, as one of the oldest independent producer and distributor dairies in the state of California.
