Oakwood Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Columbus, Ohio portfolio.

The successful candidates must be self-motivated, dependable, organized, flexible, and have strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills. Previous Property Management experience is preferred. The Maintenance Technician is accountable for the completion resident requested work orders, turning of vacant apartments, and community grounds/aesthetics as measured by customer satisfaction scores and adherence to Oakwood standards and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete resident maintenance requests and work orders.

Coordinate the turn process of vacant apartments into market ready apartments.

Complete tasks associated with physical upkeep of the community including but limited to: grounds, building maintenance, turf repair, and preventative maintenance.

Required Traits, Skills, and Qualifications:

Previous multi-family property management or construction experience preferred.

Exceptional communication skills; both verbally and written.

Demonstrated aptitude in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC knowledge/skills.

Build relationships with residents, staff, and colleagues.

Provide leadership and act as a role model.

Energetic, personable and professional.

Great customer service skills.

Possess a strong work ethic.

Computer knowledge including mobile apps.

Experience using Yardi Voyager preferred.
