Job Overview

CMG Growth team is dedicated to enhancing the advertiser experience through cutting-edge advertising recommendations, encompassing budget allocation, ROAS optimization, and beyond. Our goal is to empower advertisers with the most intelligent and insightful recommendations, ensuring maximum impact and effectiveness in their campaigns. As our Staff Software Engineer for Coupang Media Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing our large scale recommendation pipeline and low latency service API to support Coupang's fast business growth.

What You Will Do

Handle large data volumes in a distributed environment – ideally with both backend data processing and web tier data management

Drive solid design work on large scale Spark data pipelines

Experience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services development Experience working with AWS (Amazon web services)

Experience working with AWS (Amazon web services)

Experience in building machine learning applications and systems

Experiences in building systems and applications of advertising/search advertising, search, and recommendation

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or electrical/electronic engineering, mathematics or equivalent

6+ years of solid work with fundamental algorithms, system design, and large distributed systems

6+ years of coding experience in Java, Spark, SQL

Hands-on experience in building large scale data infrastructure

Pay & Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.

The base pay for this position ranges from $142,000 / year in our lowest geographic market to $309,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
