As a Principal Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for Refinery/Chemicals/Petrochemicals/Oil &Gas Industries in the Field of Instrumentation & Control System design of greenfield/revamp/retrofit/Brownfield for Pre-FEED, FEED and Detail Engineering phase of Portfolio, Small, Medium & Large projects.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Principal Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Singapore.

The role responsibilities include:

Prepare & issue Instrument Basis of Design, Project Specification for DCS, SIS, FGS, MMS and PLC systems and Instrumentation required for Packaged Equipment’s.

Prepare, Review and approve Instrument data sheets such as Control valve, On-Off Valves, Safety Relief Valves & other field instruments etc. Verify the calculations for the orifice plate bore, Control Valve Cv, and PSV’s, etc.

Prepare, Review & approve Cause & Effect diagram and Logic diagrams. Review and approve all the vendor documents for DCS, SIS, FGS, MMS, PLC systems, Instruments and for Mechanical Packaged equipment’s.

Prepare and issue Material / Technical Requisition for all instruments, carry out Technical Bid Evaluation and Vendor Documents Review & approval.

Review and approve instrument Index, DCS/SIS/FGS/MMS/PLC I/O Lists.

Cable schedule, Interconnection wiring drawings, Termination drawings, Junction box schedule, Instrument Hook-up drawings, Material Take off.

Prepare & issue Specification for Instrument cables, Junction boxes, Instrument Installation scope. Review and approve Block diagrams, Control / Rack room layout, Cable route, instrument location plan, Loop drawings.

Review of P&ID’s, Isometric drawings, and 3-D modelling.

Work Experience in both Green Field & Brown Field Projects.

Ensure to adherence of Quality Management System, establish and follow Worley QA plans.

What you’ll have

Bachelor or Master Engineering degree in Instrumentation Engineering / Technology.

20-25 years design experience in Petrochemical/Chemical/Oil & Gas industry.

Familiar with both International and Local Codes & Standards.

Knowledge of SPI, AVEVA Instrumentation, SP3D, E3D Databases are essential.

Should have handled at least two Mega / large projects as a Lead Instrumentation Engineer.

Working knowledge on various Client Standards includes Shell DEP, Chevron Standards etc.

Field Instrumentation and experience in Control Systems with strong leadership skills & teamwork is a requisite.

Pro-active, able to communicate direct, open and flexible.

Working experience with Global Integrated Delivery (GID) / High Value Engineering Center (HVEC) is a Must.
