As a Senior Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for Refinery/Chemicals facility Instrumentation & Control System design of greenfield/revamped/retrofit for Basic and Detail Engineering phase of Medium & Large projects.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Singapore.

The role responsibilities include:

To Lead/Support a team of I&C Engineers & designers from Home office and Support office from Worley Global Engineering Delivery (GID), India.

Ensure all documentation within the scope of their responsibility is prepared, checked in accordance with the Worley Management System for that project.

Ensure all vendors bids and documentation is reviewed for technical acceptance.

Provide necessary technical assistance to other design groups assigned to the project.

Communicate and interface with client representatives, End User, other discipline Engineers and GID / High Value Engineering Center (HVEC) office.

Provide support to inspection activities for Field Instruments & Control System or as necessary.

Actively look for value plus items that could be recorded and encourage other team members to do the same.

What you’ll have

Core experience related to Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petro-chemical & Chemical – Instrumentation & Control System.

Minimum 12-15 years hands on professional experience in executing Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detail Engineering jobs for Chemical/Petrochemical/Refinery/LNG.

Executed at least two Major projects which includes a Billion dollar worth local & International projects.

The candidate shall have a proven track record of hands-on working knowledge in LNG Projects, LNG Storage Tanks and Loading Terminals engineering.

The candidate shall have a strong experience on Field Instrumentation, Control, Process Automation and Safety system engineering design, with emphasis in Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) engineering design.

Good knowledge on the Foundation Fieldbus™ Segment design and calculations, HART connectivity design and implementation, hot-cut overs, bump less transfer and migration of control systems planning and implementation.

Excellent working knowledge of SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) database and E3D Modelling software.

The candidate shall have extensive experience in P&ID development for Instrumentation and Process controls design as well as instrument specifications and datasheets.

The candidate shall have experience in the design and configuration of DCS (Distributed Control System), SIS/ IPS (Safety Instrumented System / Instrument Protective System), HIPPS (High Integrity Pressure Protective Systems), Fire and Gas Detection Systems (FGS), CCS (Compressor Control System), PLCs, Berth Aid Monitoring System, LNG and BOG Sampling and Fiscal Metering Systems, Process Measurement.

Instrumentation Sizing and Specification, Control valves selection and sizing, Emergency Shutdown Valves and actuators selection & sizing, Anti-surge Control Valve selection and sizing.

Prior experience of active participation in P&ID Reviews, Process Hazard Analysis PHA/HAZOPs, SIL Review, Alarm Rationalization, Human Factor and Ergonomic Design Reviews, FAT, IFAT, and SATs.

Prior experience in working with a Main Instrumentation & Controls Contractor (MICC), and experience with ICSS System includes Emerson Delta V DCS, Schneider Triconex SIS systems. Also, good knowledge on the Machine Monitoring System (MMS), Berth Aid System (BAS) etc.

Must be knowledgeable with international standards in the field of Instrumentation and Process Automation such as ISA, IEC, ISO, IEEE and NFPA.

Proven prior experience and exposure with IEC-61511 on Functional Process Safety, and ISA/IEC-62443 on Cybersecurity is required.

Prior experience in supervision and coordination of Remote I&C Engineering / Design Centers in India, handling all Engineering & Design activities remotely from India’s High Value Engineering Centre - HVEC) is a must Strong experience on various Brown Field Interfaces includes Site survey, checking of existing DCS/SIS/FGS system with MICC at various existing Instrument Technical Rooms to prepare/Review/Approval of various Methods Statement for Brown Field modification and Interface with various EPC’s, Client and End user.

Familiar with the Client guidelines/Standards of major LNG/Petrochemical/Refinery Industries.

Possess Strong Leadership skills for managing Client, Owner and GID / HVEC Team.

Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be highly competent in writing and developing technical specifications, progress reports and presentations in English.

Certification in Functional Safety Engineering from TÜV, Exida or equivalent and ISA Certification are preferred and desirable.

As a minimum, candidate must hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology degree (B.E or B.Tech) in Instrument and Control Systems from reputed University, Master’s degree is preferred.
