Job Description

Electronic Exchange in Downtown NYC is actively looking for a Senior Core Java/Engineer whose worked in Low Latency environments. Team works in an Extreme Programming(XP) environment and pair programs consistently. Scaling out the team individuals should be self proficient and need little hand holding in a real time environment.

Duties / Responsibilities:.

Hands on server side Development

Environment consists of:

Java 1.8

Spring Boot

Rest API's

FIX

Multithreaded Code

Maven

What you should have:

Excellent understanding of Algorithms and Data Structures

2+ years of software engineering experience

Be very comfortable working on real time server side systems

Have worked in a low latency environment and be comfortable explaining your work experience in this field.

Be familiar with messaging systems(i.e- Tibco, Solace, JMS, MQ Series, etc)

Passion for creating quality, data driven applications

Strong backend experience with data processing a plus

Strong programming experience preferably on Java. Knowledge on scripting is a plus

Solid understanding of embedded C/C++ and network protocols is a big plus.
