The Sales Specialist is responsible for the success and administration of all online bookings, answering all calls through the event call center and booking events. They are a dedicated point-of-contact for the guest throughout their entire event experience, by ensuring that all elements of the event/program were met with complete satisfaction. The Sales Specialist will be an intricate part of the sales team and will increase sales by working within target markets. This role is responsible for obtaining and exceeding annual sales goals by meeting sales pipeline response requirements, building relationships, and creating unforgettable experiences.

Responsibilities:

Own It, by detailing the guest’s entire event from start to finish. This will include but is not limited to: Event times, function space, food & beverage needs along with uncovering any dietary restrictions, finalizing guest count, banquet room set up, special requests by the guest, verifying and securing additional payment options as needed

Generate banquet event order documentation with the guests specific details

Communicate thoroughly with the guest, operations, and sales teams to aid in the success of the guests exceptional banquet service and event/program

Excellence. Confirm final counts and details prior to the event, ensuring a positive guest experience by monitoring all event details results in

Create and manage all client data and calls through HubSpot, our customer relationship management tool

Upsell and promote menu options based on the guests needs to ensure the overall best experience for their event

Show Spirit in supporting promotions & programs to drive event business

Respect by reporting weekly to the Call Center Supervisor on weekly goals and activities and consistently meet or exceed individual monthly sales goal

Conduct in-person meetings or zoom calls with guests, attend networking events, and participate in trade shows

Create lucrative sales targets and network business relations for potential clients

Ensure proper payment procedures are being followed

Follow up with guests for possible future business after completion of the event

1 to 3 years related hospitality experience

Management experience in catering and sales is preferred

Excellence in your written, verbal and organizational skills

Own It, show ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends

Strong customer service skills

Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
