We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware development and be able to work collaboratively with other engineers to design and implement firmware solutions for our products.

As a Firmware Engineer, you will play an active role in every phase of the FPGA development cycle, including the design, installation, and troubleshooting of the firmware used to design FPGA based hardware systems and their components.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect, implement, and maintain complex FPGA designs.

In depth knowledge and use of VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog HDL languages.

Experience and know how to use Matlab and other similar tools to generate appropriate data sets and logic generation coefficients.

Experience and use of Xilinx Vivado FPGA design tools.

Use and implement constraints using tcl based scripts and commands.

Debug designs using simulations and ILA real-time analyzers.

Simulate logic designs and built testbenches.

Adapt systems quickly to meet changing business needs.

Assist with the management of upgrades to existing systems and implementation of new systems.

Write scripts, conduct testing, and resolve debugging tasks.

Serve as a technical resource to the team.

Handle testing, system performance, environmental and system troubleshooting.

Support planning the development activities, perform technical design and code reviews.

Deliver to objectives including meeting deadlines and schedule.

Understand hardware and software interactions and collaborate with hardware engineers.

Maintain and improve existing designs and source code to help attain the goal of a modular structure.

Performs other related duties as assigned.Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

Maintain US Citizenship.

Maintain Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain.

Good interpersonal and communication skills to work and communicate with internal and external customers.

Extensive knowledge of computer hardware.

Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog and System Verilog HDL languages.

Strong analytical thinking skills.

Education/Training/Experience:

Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or relevant field.

Relevant experience required: BS, 5-8 years or MS, 6-10 years or PhD, 4-8 years.

Strong programming and code writing skills.

Experience with testing, validation, and debugging tools.

5+ years relevant experience in firmware development.

Experience with Linux operating procedures is a plus.
