Field Production Agronomist

Field Production Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE:

Manage 300-400 hectares of field production activities for Corn seed (field) production in location to meet target quantity, standard quality, HSE and compliance.

YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage production areas to meet production volume targets with best-in-class quality at optimal cost at the right time.

Secure best areas for seed production. Conduct meetings with growers and relevant community stakeholders to encourage them to work with the company.

Lead growers contracting process ensuring that required documentations are correct and area validation are done.

Manage Growers/Vendors to ensure that seed production processes, schedules, and requirements are followed timely and accurately.

Support in ensuring that farm inputs and labor budgets are timely available to the growers by collaborating closely with internal relevant stakeholders.

Ensure that processes implemented in the field are in accordance with company procedures and policies.

Identify risk and opportunities, problems, challenges, in the fields and address them accordingly in collaboration with other functions such as QA, SPR, HSE, and other relevant functions if required.

Lead Root Cause Analysis exercise for the non-conformities identified.

Monitor and track field status per crop stage, collect and record data in Bayer system.

Field activities planning from land sourcing, planting, detasselling, male chopping, harvesting and other essential activities

Manage labor and service provider(s) to ensure that Service Level Agreement are met.

Organize community labor pool to support execution of critical field activities.

Work with Security Department to ensure IP security and product protection.

Manage cost within budget.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agriculture or related field.

At least 5 years experience in seed production industry

Seed production experience is highly required

Able to travel and work upcountry

Valid driving license and excellent driving skill.

Very Strong in cross functional and external partners collaboration

Customer focus mindset

Very Strong planning and organizing skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Continuous improvement mindset
