Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Leasing Agent to join our thriving property management company. The Leasing Agent is responsible for all aspects of the leasing process, from introducing properties to prospective tenants to periodic inspection of actively leased properties. As a successful Leasing Agent, your goal is to achieve and maintain high occupancy rates and maximize profitability for clients. We are searching for a high performing Leasing Agent for our Koreatown portfolio.

The majority of our product are renovated studios with no parking in the heart of Koreatown.

Responsibilities:

Advertise vacant properties

Manage marketing including apartments.com and appfolio ad campaigns to make sure marketing material is appealing and the best representation of the units.

Show properties to prospective tenants and inform them of all available amenities.

Assist with preparing lease documents, verify compliance with lease files, accurate completion of applications, income verifications, and as well as move tenants in including city and county Section 8 applications.

Hold open houses

Negotiate leasing terms and close deals

Inspect properties on a regular basis and schedule necessary maintenance/repairs

Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned

Follow all Equal Housing Opportunity guidelines, local laws, and company policies

Maintain a high closing ratio in accordance with Policy.

Review unit turns in with maintenance and managers as needed to ensure quality control is achieved.

Assist with preparing lease documents, verify compliance with lease files, accurate completion of applications, income verifications, and as well as move tenants in including city and county Section 8 applications.

Proven professional verbal and written communication skills in exchanging information with residents, corporate, and site team members.

Possess professional, friendly telephone and greeting skills.

Must be self-motivated and a positive team member with effective communication and customer relation skills, internal and external.

Knowledge of basic office practices and procedures.

Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to apply policies and procedures to solve everyday issues.

Knowledge of Fair Housing and Tenant Landlord laws.

Ability to work with people of diverse social, economic, ethnic backgrounds, and remain sensitive to issues facing veterans, homeless, disabled, elderly, family, and other diverse populations.

Proven professional verbal and written communication skills in exchanging information with residents, corporate, and site team members.

Possess professional, friendly telephone and greeting skills.

Must be self-motivated and a positive team member with effective communication and customer relation skills, internal and external.

Knowledge of basic office practices and procedures.

Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.

Ability to exercise initiative and problem solving skills. Knowledge of computer systems.

Preferably looking for someone with experience in leasing at multiple buildings and coordinating with management and maintenance. Other desired skill sets include: 2+ years of real estate leasing, bilingual, and flexible schedule.

Salary

You will earn a base salary of $21/hour and will be eligible for commissions per lease you close at the rate of $150 per commission.
