The Opportunity:The Application Researcher is responsible to lab or biopharmaceutical site to internal and external stakeholders to facilitate pre and post sales provide product and technical support in terms of operations. The incumbent also serves as a lead to coordinate with vendors and global internal stakeholders to resolve issues and develop solutions.

The Application Researcher s a development partner for customer and is responsible for supporting in downstream process development and seminar with Avantor/VWR products.

What we’re looking for:

Education:

BA or BS degree in Biotechnology or related field, Engineering and Biochemistry.

M.S. preferred in similar fields or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Experience:

More than 2 year work experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech/life science space, downstream process development, manufacturing and process validation.

Experience working on IPC(In process control)/release test method development

Experience working on method qualification or validation

Demonstrated ability to utilize the equipment for purification and analysis.

Experience working on technical transfer

Experience working on development projects in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology fields and should be able to establish purification process development or optimization using DOE (Design of Experiment) and others

Experience working on documentation in pharmaceuticals and should be able to have capability of IND/IMPD and process validation documents.

Experience working on project pipeline mapping study

Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Strong technical process knowledge in protein purification, analysis and should be able to handle for FPLC, HPLC and other equipment.

Large scale column packing experience and capability

Should be able to discuss with customer’s organization for Test.

Customer Orientation, interpersonal effectiveness and high level of collaborative behavior.

Demonstrates a strong drive for results.

Ability to build strong relationships customers and other Avantor team members.

Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and shifting deadlines in a fast paced working environment.

How you will thrive and create an impact

Coordinate and support regional application-specific field technical development provide for lab or biopharmaceutical projects in Process development and engineering specifically in the areas of chromatography, virus inactivation, filtration, formulation, IPC(in process control)and scale up study.

Lead concept study of Avantor biopharma product for brand recognition and business opportunity creation

Provide technical seminar and training to improve Avantor/VWR brand awareness.

Support customers with product queries and applications troubleshooting including assisting with product selection decisions. Efficient and effective follow up of customer requests for information.

Responsible in presenting and delivering product training to distributors and customers.

Investigate new accounts, customer pipeline updates, opportunity biopharma product lists and market size by country.

Understands Avantor/VWR’s product offering and articulates a compelling scientific rationale for the use of Avantor products used in Bioprocess manufacturing.

Understands the value drivers and technical requirements for customers

To preserve and establish good rapport and relationship with internal stakeholders and provide assistance in any product and technical queries.

Supports customers with technical expertise to qualify Avantor/VWR products during early project stages.

Keep abreast with latest regulatory and compliance within the lab and pharma industry.

Participate in the Company’s cross-functional organizational task force(s) if need be.

Travels to and works at customer's site and leads projects to enhance the performance of Avantor’s products
