Role/Department

This role is within Northern Trust’s UK Fund Accounting team, reporting to the Functional Head for the UKFA Change Team, the role is that of a Change Manager.

The role has a number of elements:

First is the responsibility for overseeing the governance around UKFA Change and chairing the UKFA Change Control Committee, ensuring there is the correct governance in place for all on-going UKFA Change.

Second is providing operational proactive change recommendations for consideration by the UKFA Management Team based on Problem Management analysis.

Third is to be a resource for the business, as agreed by senior management, for problem solution to ad hoc operational issues.

Additional key responsibilities include:

Manage the UKFA Change Governance

Chair the UKFA Change Control Committee

Communicate with NBaT, CSMs, BPAs and business units on Change and as required with the Clients

Provide advice and input to assist UKFA with any on-going issues

Liaise with internal service providers for updates, tracking and escalation

With other Fund Accounting geographies agree priorities for builds/development on an EMEA basis

Employ project management tools (i.e. AHA/ADO) and techniques when working on docket or project initiatives.

Liaise with the new business team where necessary to ensure any new requirements are captured

The ideal candidate should have a fair amount of the following skills:

Strong knowledge and experience of Fund Accounting

Has a detailed understanding of the industry and NT, in particular NT’s systems, infrastructure and process/data flows

Strong communication, first class presentation and internal and external client-servicing skill

Excellent Project Management skills

Experience with vendors preferred (Bloomberg, Reuters etc.)

Understanding of how Fund Accounting systems link and interface to other systems and an appreciation of how to implement such interfaces

Analytically and procedurally competent to represent the team on cross-function process or project deliverables

Project Management qualifications preferable (e.g. PRINCE2)
