Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

Coordinate compliance, certification and recertification activities with domestic and international agencies.

Develop and manage certification project schedules for compliance related activities.

Participates in cross functional teams to launch new products, product modifications, resolve issues, and support product improvements.

Assist engineering with defining certification project scopes and schedules.

Provides support for manufacturing quarterly inspections, laboratory certifications and field compliance issues.

Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

Nature & Scope:

Takes direction from senior and lead compliance engineers

Manages certification project with direction

Answers technical question with direction

Works within well-defined instructions

Knowledge & Skills:

Understanding of National and international standards that define safety and regulatory requirements for HVAC products preferred

Project management skills

Team working skills – must be able to obtain results collaborating with a diverse team

Customer focused – must create and maintain positive relationships

Excellent Communication Skills - Written & Verbal, able to interface with employees at all levels of the organization.

Proficiency with software including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

Experience:

0-3 years of experience with domestic and international compliance and certification programs

Experience with HVAC/ Refrigeration/ Combustion/Gas Furnace preferred

Education/Certification:

BS – Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Major

People Management: No

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing and laboratory environment. Work may involve lifting materials up to 30 pounds. Machinery, tools and operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
