Background
For over 10 years, Faith in Place has offered the Eco-Ambassador Program during the summer to youth 14-18 years of age. Eco-Ambassadors learn about environmental justice and climate change through environmental action projects, educational programming, field trips, and more. Faith in Place is seeking an on-site Environmental Justice Education intern for the 2024 Summer Eco-Ambassador Program. This is an unpaid internship opportunity and we encourage interns to apply for funding or credit from their educational institution, scholarship program, or other sources.
Responsibilities:
Interns primarily engage in tasks that support the senior program coordinator in program operations, partnership development, and program facilitation. These responsibilities include:
Meet with program partners in-person and/or virtually
Facilitate classroom instruction
Strengthen the alumni network
Attend field trips
Provide program support
Attend weekly leadership meetings
Attend weekly programming days (3-4 days per week)
