Nova Biomedical is hiring a Sr. Group Leader to support our PCB Manufacturing group in our Waltham, MA facility (Hours 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM). The Sr. Group Leader has direct responsibility for the activities of the Manufacturing Associates in the PCB Assembly area. This position performs the hands -on, day-to-day tasks necessary to meet manufacturing objectives. In addition to day-to-day tactical responsibilities, the Sr. Group Leader works with the department Supervisor to develop and implement initiatives necessary for manufacturing to achieve their stated objective of manufacturing products of superior quality and reliability, on time, and in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Other responsibilities include:

Achieve weekly production schedules and department goals.

Releasing of material from internal and external vendors.

Perform cycle counts, reconcile count discrepancies, review with the Supervisor, and input count data.

Review and implement MVs and ECOs with direct reports ensuring (a) the reconciliation of obsolete and new documentation, (b) implementing of new training and the subsequent completion of training records, and (c) the disposition of specified material.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of DHRs.

Provide performance appraisals input and participate in performance appraisal as requested.

Complete continuous improvement activities as assigned.

Disposition defective material through the NCMR process.

Perform internal and external tooling and equipment Calibration and Maintenance.

Participate in interview for new hires.

Provide input on time sheets as required.

Enforce company and department policies and procedures. Address any discrepancies or performance issues with the Supervisor.

Provide feedback to the Supervisor on developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing documentation and processes.

Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe. Enforce safety requirements.

Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

5 plus years of hands-on experience in an electromechanical/SMT Manufacturing environment, including 3 years in a leadership capacity. Medical device manufacturing environment a plus.

Working knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements. FDA requirements a plus.

Working knowledge of inventory control practices and manufacturing planning. SAP ERP experience a plus.

Working knowledge of SMT PCB equipment, SMT assembly and processes including BGAs.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an Electromechanical/SMT manufacturing environment including 3 years in a leadership capacity.
