Tax Senior Manager / Director- Nonprofit

My client, a top-100 CPA firm located in Orange County, CA, is seeking a Tax Director with expertise in NFP clients. Consideration will also be giving to strong Managers and Senior Managers with a desire to progress to Partnership level. This position can be located in either of the firm's Orange County offices, either hybrid or fully in-office, with more remote work also an option.

Position Requirements:

Desire to become a tax partner in the Not-For-Profit area at a leading regional CPA firm

Certified Public Accountant in good standing

MBT (MST) or JD/ LLM preferred but not required

More than seven years of professional experience, with predominant and most recent experience at regional, national, or Big 4 CPA firm

Extensive experience in reviewing or performing compliance on not-for-profit returns (Forms 990/990-PF)

Extensive experience in reviewing or performing compliance on unrelated business income tax returns (Forms 990-T)

Experience consulting with not-for-profit management on various tax-related management issues

Experience in technical research and in training staff, seniors, and managers how to perform technical research

Successful in developing and mentoring staff toward promotion

Experience defending clients in IRS audits

Record of success in developing relationships within a firm

Experience with common tax software pertaining to not-for-profit returns
