Business Development Manager - US&LATAM

As we continue on our mission to “keep growing”, we are seeking a Business Development Manager - US&LATAM to help us reach new heights. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the incumbent for this newly minted role will assist our team in accomplishing our annual objectives and goals within these regions. QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful candidates for this role must possess the following:

College diploma, university diploma an asset.

Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a similar role with proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets

Background in B2B mass-market retail sales – Target, Wal-Mart, etc.

Ability to manage Rep and/or Distributor groups.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Must be proficient in MS Office suite, specifically Excel.

Experience with cold-calling and lead generation.

CRM and ERP experience

Rangeme experience

Experience with negotiation.

Ability to think strategically and analytically towards the generation of new business.

Strong financial experience with the ability to facilitate P&L reporting.

Organized and proficient with time.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English and French with Spanish as a key asset.

Previous experience in the publishing industry is an asset, especially if previously working with traditional and mass market channels.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Revolve around participating in and supporting the Sales division with all projects and related tasks, including:

Business development and account management within this assigned channel of business

Organization and management of account information

Identification and management of partner trade marketing opportunities

Sales tracking to ensure goals are met.

Sales presentations and cold calling to support the development of business.

Travel for tradeshows and in-person client meetings, as necessary

SKILLS:

Excellent organization skills with keen attention to detail

Strong customer service skills

Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines and priorities accordingly.

Analytical and strategic

Creative, with the ability to translate ideas thoroughly.

Patience and agility where necessary

Autonomous but works well with a team – has a collaborative mindset.

Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (interacting with other departments)
