Production Assistant

Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Production Assistant. This role will involve supporting the Plant Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Production Coordination:

Assist in planning and organizing production schedules to meet customer demand.

Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.

Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that products meet company standards and customer specifications.

Communicating any known maintenance needs to Maintenance Department.

Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Inventory Management:

Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring stock levels of raw materials and finished products.

Coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and optimize storage space.

Safety Compliance:

Work with company safety officer to ensure protocols are followed.

Team Leadership:

Provide guidance and support to production staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.

Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating employees to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.

Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.

Continuous Improvement:

Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce costs.

Solicit feedback from employees to identify areas for innovation and enhancement.

Implement best practices and Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and maximize productivity.
